Destruction of superconductivity by magnetic ordering in Hosub(1.2)Mo6S8
Description
An entirely new type of phase transition has been found in the superconducting compound Hosub(1.2)Mo6S8. The compound becomes superconducting at 1.2 K and returns to the normal state through the newly found, very sharp phase transition at 0.64 K. The latter transition is attributed to the magnetic ordering of the Ho3+ ions in the compound. (author)
