Device for X-ray radiometric analysis of rocks
Description
A device is described for x-ray radiometric analysis of rocks by total content of elements. The device contains a source of ionizing radiation, a recorder of secondary radioactive radiation from the sample, and a selective filter. To increase the accuracy of the analysis, the selective filter is made of a mixture of elements for which the values of x-ray radiation absorption energy jumps are between those of characteristic radiation of the elements being determined, and the ratio between the elements in the filter is chosen so that to ensure equal sensitivity of the analysis towards all the elements being analyzed
