Scattering of vector polarized deuterons from deformed nuclei

Description

Vector analyzing power data for deuteron elastic and inelastic scattering at 18 MeV are studied for the targets 24Mg, 28Si, and 32S. Both calculated and experimental values are given. It is concluded that the approximate reproduction of all data established the spectroscopic power of polarized deuteron measurements. 5 references
