Photoproduction of K+ mesons on three-particle nuclei

  • 1. AN Gruzinskoj SSR, Tbilisi. Inst. Fiziki

Description

K+-meson photoproduction on three-particle nuclei is studied by the ''hydrid'' method in which the Faddeev equations are solved making use of the hyperspherical function basis. The following channels of reactions are considered, γ+3He → K++Λ+p+n, γ+3H → K++Λ+n+n, γ+3He → K++Λ3H. It is shown that for rather smooth potentials the ''hybrid'' method provides a good convergence with respect to the number of included harmonics for the binding energy of the nuclei involved in the reaction and for the reaction cross sections. The final state interaction between all the baryons produces a noticeable effect. The influence of the nuclear matter on K+-meson photoproduction is mainly quantitative. It is shown that the Λ particle produced in the processes under consideration prefers to stay in an unbound with baryons state, whilst the channel with Λ3H-hypernucleus production in the final state is essentially suppressed
