An improved adaptive TV algorithm for image reconstruction

For the problem of incomplete projection data of CT image reconstruction, E.Y. Sidky proposed ART-TV algorithm. The image gradient sparsity information will be introduced as a priori information to ART iterative algorithm, which effectively improves the quality of image reconstruction. In the paper, the algorithm was improved slightly with a gradient descent adaptively. Finally, we reconstruct the Head standard model with the ART-TV algorithm and the algorithm proposed in the paper. The simulation experimental results show that this algorithm improves the image reconstruction quality and suppresses the noise effectively. (authors)
