Diagonal change procedures and Delaunay triangulation

Description
A proof of a result currently used in automated 2D mesh adaptation is proposed. After recalling some basic principles on Voronoi and Delaunay tessellations, we prove under some assumptions that any triangulation can be changed in a Delaunay triangulation by a sequence of local reconnections. Abstract (French)
Le but de cet article est de presenter une demonstration d'un resultat communement utilise pour definir un algorithme d'adaptation de maillages lors de la mise en oeuvre de methodes de volumes finis ou d'elements finis bidimensionnels. Apres quelques rappels sur les polygones de Voronoi et les polytopes de Delaunay, nous prouvons par des considerations algebriques que l'on peut transformer sous certaines hypotheses une triangulation T en une triangulation de Delaunay par une suite de procedures de changements de diagonale effectuees sur des paires de triangles adjacents de T.
