57Fe Moessbauer studies in the double transition Ce(Fe1-xCox)2 alloys
- 1. Tata Inst. of Fundamental Research, Bombay (India)
- 2. Himachal Pradesh Univ., Simla (India). Dept. of Physics
Description
The reported double transition in the series Ce(Fe1-xCox)2 for x < 0.3 has been shown to be due to spin reorientation from Moessbauer measurements at 57Fe. It is suggested that the competing interactions with randomly substitution of Fe by Co atoms causes a quasi random freezing which results in abrupt loss of magnetization. (orig.)
