Study of strange beauty neutral meson decays into vector and pseudoscalar mesons

Description

In this paper, we have investigated the two-body decay of ๐ต0๐‘  meson into ๐ทโˆ—โˆ’๐‘  and ๐พโˆ—+ which is not observed yet. However, some similar decays, such as ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—โˆ’๐‘ ๐œŒ+ and ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทยฏโˆ—0๐œ™, have been observed with numerical experimental branching ratios. To ensure our obtained results for ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐พโˆ—+ decay, we have applied the used method on similar observed decays. The ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐พโˆ—+ decay has been calculated using different methods in other literature works, and their results are comparable with the results of the current work. The most precise determinations for the branching fractions of ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐พ+ and ๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐œ‹+ decays have been reported by the LHCb and Belle collaborations with the values of B(๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐พ+) = (1.63ยฑ0.12)ร—10-4 and B(๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—โˆ’๐‘ ๐œ‹+)=(2.40ยฑ0.30)ร—10-3, respectively. Therefore, we have also calculated the branch ratios of these decay modes and obtained the numerical results as B(๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐พ+)=(1.68ยฑ0.17)ร—10-4 and B(๐ต0๐‘ โ†’๐ทโˆ—-๐‘ ๐œ‹+)=(2.22ยฑ0.17)ร—10-3, that are much more consistent with the experimental results. The ratio of these, 0.076ยฑ0.014, is also in good agreement with the ratio reported by LHCb collaboration, 0.068ยฑ0.005. (author)
