On the calculated cross-sections of fusion reaction
Description
It is discussed the reason why there is a discrepancy between the calculated and the experimental cross-section in heavy-ion-heavy-ion scattering problem such as in the fusion reaction of 64Ni + 64Ni. It is shown that the difference in the part of the binding energies together with a factor due to the different extent of contact can explain this
