Low-temperature field reconstruction of atomic nanoclusters on the surface of tungsten

Description
The field ion microscopy observation of low temperature field reconstruction of atomic clusters at a close-packed face of a metal is first reported. It is found that the compact clusters are disintegrated in to nonclose-packed zigzag atom chains
