The paper reviews fusion research on tokamak plasma. Tests with the Joint European Torus (JET) and the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor (TFTR) are outlined. Thermonuclear reactions are briefly discussed, as well as plasma parameters, which include density, confinement time and temperature. (U.K.)
