Isotope shifts in UV lines of dysprosium: confirmation and new assignments of 4f95d6s6p, 4f96s26p configurations to energy levels of Dy I

Description
Isotope shifts Δσ (l60Dy-164Dy) in 21 spectral lines of neutral dysprosium atom (Dy I) in the UV region have been studied; for 19 lines isotope shifts are being reported for the first time. The high-resolution spectrum has been recorded on a Fourier Transform Spectrometer using highly enriched isotopes of dysprosium, excited in a all-metal hollow cathode lamp. Using the isotope shift data, we have deduced the term isotope shifts ΔT(l60Dy-164Dy) for 16 high even- and 12 high odd-parity energy levels. The earlier assignments of some of the energy levels of Dy I to 4f95d6s6p and 4f96s26p configurations have been confirmed and a few unassigned levels have been assigned to these configurations.
