Study of the ways of improving of quality of uranium solution extraction purification from iron as applied to conditions of mining and chemical industrial union of Argun region
Description
At Argun mining and chemical production association for the process of extraction purification of uranium sulfuric-nitric acid solutions a ternary mixture of extractants is used: di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid+TBP+trialkylamine in hydrocarbon source materials. For achieving a guaranteed degree of uranium purification from iron an increase in the time of organic phase duration in the area of iron replacement is required. it proved possible by arranging the extraction in two stages with fractional introduction of extractant. The highest effect is achieved when 35% of the extractant is supplied to the bottom of the apparatus, while basic flow is introduced into the column at a height of 7.2 m. In this case it takes 14.2 min to replace iron, which is 2.5 times more than in case of conventional flowsheet employment
