Study of γ- and α-phase structure in Fe-Ni alloys in the vicinity of the martensitic transformation point

  • 1. AN SSSR, Sverdlovsk. Inst. Fiziki Metallov

Description

Supercooled austenitic structure models for Fe-Ni alloys are suggested corresponding to a predetermined nearest order of atomic dislocations. The latter is possibly responsible for the diffusion scattering observed in the austenite of Fe-Ni alloys. Possible restructuring patterns of austenite lattice having local body-centered cubic configurations of α-martensite in various orientation relationships with matrix middle lattice have been considered. Certain features of the fluctuation dislocation wave spectrum have been found to be also characteristic of hexagonal closed-packed - shaped configurations of dislocated atoms
