Deuterium trapping in tungsten and rhenium alloys

Description
Using the method of thermodesorption spectroscopy (TDS) the capture of deuterium ions by tungsten and rhenium alloys, which are considered candidate materials for a thermonuclear reactor, is studied. Alloys of different structures with different rhenium content were irradiated with 200 eV/D deuterium ions by doses ranging from 1022 to 1024 D/m2. In the TDS spectra a high-temperature peak at temperature 850 K was revealed, which was attributed to deuterium capture in gas-filled cavities of the alloy. During annealing of the alloys studied, as well as during their high-dose irradiation by low-energy deuterium ions, the effect of the cavities healing in the bilk of the material was observed. It has been ascertained that the alloy structure affects essentially the capture of deuterium with W-Re alloys, while rhenium content effect is actually negligible
Abstract (Russian)
Методом термодесорбционной спектроскопии (ТДС) исследован захват ионов дейтерия сплавами вольфрама и рения, которые рассматриваются в качестве кандидатных материалов для термоядерного реактора. Сплавы различной структуры и с разным содержанием рения облучали ионами дейтерия с энергией 200 эВ/D дозами от 1022 до 1024 D/м2. В спектрах (ТДС) обнаружен высокотемпературный пик при температуре 850 K, который отнесен за счет захвата дейтерия в газонаполненных полостях сплава. При отжиге изученных сплавов, а также при их высокодозовом облучении низкоэнергетичными ионами дейтерия наблюдался эффект залечивания полостей в объеме материала. Установлено, что на захват дейтерия сплавами W-Re существенно влияет структура сплава и практически не влияет содержание ренияFiles
