Remote Systems Technology: Recent Advances at Harwell

Description

An increasing requirement for remote handling and viewing technology in nuclear plant has called for a range of standard products which can be combined together to provide cost effective and efficient solutions to meet remote handling requirements. A range of products including nuclear engineered robots, advanced television systems, and hydraulically operated manipulators have been developed by ABA Technology. The purpose of this paper is to describe the background to these developments, the products themselves, and a sample application where these products have recently been applied
