Visualization of specimen injection to water free surface and numerical simulation
- 1. Shonan Institute of Technology, Fujisawa, Kanagawa (Japan)
Description
In the study, the specimen injection to water free surface was visualized and numerical simulation was analyzed by the 3D code of moving particle with Lagrange method. As the result, the specimen accompanied air cavity during the high velocity, then the cavity detached from the specimen in the low velocity. The simulation showed pressure quasi-color contour near the block under surface, then it revealed that high pressure occurred in the very short duration of 1 millisecond, as well as the tensile stress exceeded allowable stress of the concrete block.
