The WAY analogues of central nervous system(CNS) 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor imaging agents are introduced. The advantages of WAY analogues in CNS 5-hydroxytryptamine 1A receptor imaging agents are described. The labelled methods and the current state of WAY analogues based on 99Tcm in CNS receptor imaging agents are reviewed
