Description
Composition and heat-treatment temperature dependence of the micro-structure of sputter-deposited (amorphous in the as-deposited state) and crystallized Ti-rich Ti-Ni alloy films were investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The following schemes were observed depending on alloy composition and heat-treatment temperature: (a) No precipitates; (b) plate-shape precipitates; (c) coexisting plate-shape precipitates and spherical Ti2Ni precipitates with orientation relationship to the matrix; (d) only spherical Ti2Ni precipitates with the orientation relationship; (e) spherical Ti2Ni precipitates with and without orientation relationship.
