Angular dependence of proton polarization in the γ+p → πsup(0)+p reaction at Esub(γ)=600 MeV
Description
Proton polarization in the γ+p → πsup(0)+p reaction has been investigated at Esub(γ)=600 MeV and at the angles of proton emission in the range of 90 deg - 140 deg. The experiment has been carried out with the aim of obtaining more precise definition of the polarization angular dependence at > angles more than 90 deg. Proton polarization has been measured by a telescope of spark chambers located after a magnetic spectrometer. The polarization values obtained in the experiment for the angles of 90 deg, 110 deg, 120 deg and 142.5 deg are - 0.660+-0.60; -0.605+-0.058; -0.445+-0.066 and -0.595+-0.059, respectively. The comparison of the experimental values obtained with predictions of a theoretical analysis demonstrates a satisfactory agreement
