Conduction electron spin polarization in some intermetallic europium compounds
- 1. Rijksuniversiteit Leiden (Netherlands). Kamerlingh Onnes Lab.
- 2. Philips Research Laboratories, Eindhoven, The Netherlands
Description
For the CaCu5-type compounds EuX5 (X=Cu, Zn, Ag, Au) the magnetic properties, the lattice constants, the 151Eu hyperfine fields and the isomer shifts were determined. The transferred hyperfine fields were estimated by means of data obtained on some pseudobinaries Eusub(1-x)Rsub(x)X5 (R=Ca, La, Gd). The applicability of the RKKY model is discussed. (Auth.)
