Determination of penetration parameter for the γ537 transition E1-component, de-exciting the 184W 1285 keV, 5- level

Description

The K-forbidden γ537 transition (1285 keV, 5-, KΠ=5-→748 keV, 6+, KΠ=0g+) of the 184W nucleus is investigated in the paper. It has the complex multipole E1+M2+M3 composition as the analogous 921 transition to the 4+, KΠ=0g+ level, which E1-component is under the influence of intranuclear conversion. But for γ537 data on intranuclear conversion is not sufficiently reliable. Exact measurements of the internal conversion coefficient (ICC) for K-shell αK(537)=(6.34+-0.11)x10-3 are carried out to determine the λ penetration parameter for the γ537 transition E1-component. Matrix penetration elements, which in the Vojkhanskij-Listengarten terms have the next values: for γ537 =+-(5.0+-0-6)x104, for γ921 +-(3.7+-0-3)x10-4 or +-(6.3+-0.4)x10-4, are obtained for γ537,921 transitions
