Deconvolution analysis of radionuclide angiocerebrography

  • 1. Osaka National Hospital (Japan)
  • 2. Osaka University School of Medicine (Japan)

Description

The controversial points arising from the dilution of RI bolus serving as a driving input into the cardio-pulmonary system were corrected according to the deconvolution method, and the variance and skewness computed from the transfer function obtained were subjected to analysis for different cerebral diseases. Furthermore, a preoperative and postoperative comparative examination of STA-MCA anastomosis was made by using dMAT, dMDT and dFMTT. An increase in skewness was noted in the cases of internal carotid disease and an increase in variance in the cases of brain tumor. In addition, in the postoperative evaluation of 7 cases of unilateral carotid obstruction, a decrease in each parameter was observed with a remarkable one for dFMTT which was useful for the postoperative evaluation
