Interaction of electrons with weak conductive material with allowance for radiation charging
Description
The solution of the stationary self-consistent problem on interaction of an electron beam and a short-circuited dielectric where charge transfer is provided by induced conductivity is given. Parameters necessary for calculations - a standard dose rate and a corresponding conductivity values - are determined experimentally for polyethylene terephthalate crystals within the framework of a model in which the dielectric is divided into an irradiated and a nonirradiated parts by a plane at a depth equal to the electron free path. Irradiation was carried out by a monoenergetic electron flux at 75 keV energy
