X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study of the changes of chemical composition of near the surface layers of Ti alloy after electrochemical dimensional treatment

Description
With the help of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy technique, changes of elemental composition in the surface layers of Ti-based alloy have been studied after mechanical and electrochemical treatments. It is shown that electrochemical dimensional treatment leads to formation of TiO2 layer on the surface of Ti alloy. Thickness of this layer is more in 3-5 times than that after mechanical treatment
