Description

The solid radioactive wastes from the Kozloduy NPP are stored in 200-l barrels. The radionuclide content and activity of wastes is determined by CANBERA Portable Plus gamma spectrometer with HPGe detector (20% efficiency and resolution 1.9 keV on gamma line 1332 keV of Co-60). The program SAMPO 90 is used for spectra processing. The paper describes the measuring procedure and the results of analysing 350 barrels with solid wastes. 99.5% of the total activity is from 60Co, 137Cs, 54Mn, 58Co, 134Cs, 51Cr, 110Ag, 95Nb, 65Zn, 59Fe, 95Zr. Data on absolute registration efficiency, activity distribution, density values of wastes in barrels and relationship between detector's dead time and dose rate on barrel's surface are given
