Description
Full text: The estimation of activity concentration of three primordial radionuclides has been carried out in Coimbatore city. The collected samples are analyzed by using 32'32 NaI(Tl) gamma ray spectrometer. The average activity of 232Th series, 238U series and 40K in soil samples are found to be 31.49 Bq.Kg-1, 12.85 Bq.Kg-1 and 698.04 Bq.Kg-1 respectively, which gives the total gamma dose contribution of 56.41 nGy.h-1
