Internal stresses in vanadium base alloys during oxygen and nitrogen solution

Description

Study of elastic interactions of Sn, Al, Si, Y substitution impurities and interstitials with Fe atoms in the V matrix as well as lattice dilatation of vanadium base alloys at O and N dissolution is carried out. Tin, aluminium, silicon and yttrium alloyage of the V-Fe alloy varies oxygen and nitrogen solubility in it. Dissolution does non result only in homogeneous lattice dilatation but in anisotropic elestic stresses as well. The degree of anisotropy can represent a non-monotonous function of O and N concentration
