On the Pauli-Villars regularization in (2+1)-dimensional QED

  • 1. Instituto de Fisica Teorica, Universidade Estadual Paulista, Rua Pamplona, 145 01405-900-Sao Paulo, SP (Brazil)

Description

We argue that it is possible to remove the ambiguity between the Pauli-Villars and other methods of regularization in (2+1)-dimensional quantum electrodynamics with respect to topological mass generation, provided we use suitable fractional coupling constants for the auxiliary fields. copyright 1996 American Institute of Physics
