A CW CO2 wave guide laser for the optical pumping of far-infra-red molecular lasers
Description
A CO2 laser operating in a pyrex waveguide is described. Its power emission equals the best results obtained for BeO and BN waveguide, and single line emission has been observed for many CO2 lines. FIR laser emission by molecules optically excited by a waveguide CO2 laser is reported for the first time. (author)
