Device and technique for deformation experimental study up to temperature ∼ 0.4 K
Description
An original installation is described intended for the study of plastic flow below ∼ 0.4 K in liquid 3He. The experimental technique is presented and the optimal conditions of deformation are defined. A study is made of heat effects observed during deformation below 1 K. The capabilities of the novel installation are illustrated by examples
