The effect of added copper on kinetic effects in the rhombohedral and cubic modifications of GeTe

Description

The behaviour of kinetic coefficients such as thermal e.m.f., electric conductivity, Nerst-Ettinghausen and Hall -in Gesub(1-x)Cusub(t)Te is stuided. Copper effect on peculiarities of the electron spectrum in germanium telluride and its donor effect in rhombohedral and cubic phases are investigated. Study of kinetic effects in germanium telluride solid solutions with copper has shown that copper introduction does not cause any considerable changes in the electron spectrum, though it tells on hole concentration. Copper in the rhombohedral modification of germanium telluride behaves as a twice-ionized donor. Copper decreases its donor action and shows as charge 1 donor in transition to cubic phase
