Direct and sequential breakup of cluster-like nuclei
Description
The interaction of light ion projectiles with target nuclei is characterised by ejectiles travelling in the forward direction with velocities similar to that of the incident projectiles. If such ejectiles are produced by projectile breakup, then experiments measuring simultaneously the kinematic characteristics of two or more fragments can provide valuable information concerning the types of breakup processes.
