Study on behavior of activated corrosion products in PWR primary coolant system
Description
In Tsuruga Nuclear Power Station Unit 2 (Tsuruga-2), the data of deposits on fuel surfaces and on the out of core piping surface were taken to investigate the formation and building-up behavior of activated corrosion products in the primary system. On the basis of the results, the effectiveness of dose reduction measures hitherto implemented i.e., the modified B-Li chemistry and improved shutdown chemistry, and the problems associated with further reducing the radiation exposure of personnel were discussed.
