Radiation protection measures involving the goiania accident patients
Description
The radiological protection measures taken in the General Hospital of Goiania (HGG/INAMPS), due to the accident involving cesium 137 are described; the work of the NUCLEI personnel in the areas of: radiological protection of the medical and auxiliary staff, contamination control of the ward, radiological monitoring of the patients, waste management, personnel and area decontamination and patient transportation, is also described. Descrevem-se as medidas de protecao radiologica tomadas no Hospital Geral de Goiania (HGG/INAMPS), devido ao acidente envolvendo cesio-137. O trabalho dos profissionais da NUCELI nas areas de: protecao radiologica do corpo medico e auxiliar; controle de contaminacao da enfermaria; monitoracao radiologica dos pacientes; gerencia dos rejeitos; descontaminacao de pessoal e da area; e transporte de pacientes, tambem e descrito.
