Acidic layer-tint system of grinded stabilized zirconium dioxide and its effect on ceramics properties

Description

The effect of acid kind and quantity on grinded iron removing completeness and on ceramics properties is studied. Tetragonal solid solution of 6,47% yttrium oxide in zirconium dioxide, produced by the Verkhnedneprovsk mining and smelting plant, and hydrochloric, perchloric, acetic, sulphuric and oxalic acids of CP quality were used for the experiments. It is shown, that the most perspective of the acids investigated is hydrochloric acid (by dross density, contraction and sample firmness), then in deterioration succession follow: acetic, perchloric, nitric and sulphuric acids
