Electron and complex ion recombination
Description
Recombination between an electron and complex ion is investigated on the basis of two models. In the first case it is assumed that in the vicinity of the complex ion it strongly interacts with the electron, and hence, if the latter enters this region recombination occurs. In the second model the large number of auto-ionization states which lead to recombination are taken into account. The electron-complex ion recombination cross section is inversely proportional to the electron energy, whereas the dissociative recombination coefficient is inversely proportional to the square root of the electron temperature. An analysis of the experimental data is carried out
