Study of beam capture method for high repetition rate at Kyushu University

  • 1. Kyushu University, Fukuoka (Japan)

Description

A rapid cycling acceleration is required to accelerate short-lived particles such as muon and unstable nuclei. We adopt a saw-tooth capture method which is suitable for rapid cycling acceleration because a beam capture is finished in a short period, compared with an adiabatic capture. In this paper, the results of beam simulation, the test of the RF amplifier, and preliminary beam experiment are described. (author)
