Description
Nylon composite films, with five layers of nylon-6, adhesive PE, PE, adhesive PE and nylon-6, were crosslinked by 60Co γ-ray irradiation to 10-50 kGy. Effects of irradiation dose on properties of the nylon-6 composite films were studied. The results showed that mechanical properties of the nylon-6 composite films could be improved to certain extent, while keeping original separation properties. In particular, the contraction ratio was distinctly reduced hence an improved dimensional stability in applications of the nylon-6 composite films. (authors)
