Beam pipe for polarization experiments
Creators
Description
The design of a polarized beam vacuum chamber for the PEP storage rings is discussed, including the cooling system, the radiation absorber, and chamber dimensions. The chamber has a complicated shape and is designed to absorb the synchrotron radiation coming from the polarized magnetic fields and to cover the energy range from 5 to 15 GeV/c
