Safety insert for absorber rods
Description
An absorber rod for gas-cooled reactors with spherical fuel elements is described which can be drawn from the core even in the broken state. This is achieved by a safety insert attached to both ends of the rod securing the mechanical joint of both parts in case the rod breaks apart. (RW)

Es wird ein Absorberstab fuer gasgekuehlte Reaktoren mit kugelfoermigen Brennelementen beschrieben, der auch in gebrochenem Zustand aus dem Core herausgezogen werden kann. Dies ermoeglicht eine an beiden Stabenden befestigte Sicherungseinlage, die im Falle eines Bruches die mechanische Verbindung der auseinandergebrochenen Teile sicherstellt. (RW)Files
