Description

Recent developments of the MARS Monte Carlo code system for simulation of hadronic and electromagnetic cascades in shielding, accelerator and detector components in the energy range from a fraction of an electronvolt up to 100 TeV are described. These include hadron production model, unified treatment of heavy particle electromagnetic interactions and absorption, interface to MCNP for low-energy neutrons, and newly created electromagnetic shower module (down to 1 keV), MAD-MARS Beam Line Builder and Graphical-User Interface.
