Simultaneous determination of Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, Ru, Os and Au in a concentrate after fire assay and vacuum distillation
Description
A method has been developed of simultaneous determination of platinum group metals and gold in one sample. The method includes crucible fire assay, vacuum distillation of the lead matrix, decomposition of the concentrate in conc. HCl (without losses of osmium), group preconcentration on a POLYORGS 4 sorbent and atomic emission determination by a spilling-blowing in procedure. The determination limits for all the elements studied are not greater than 10-7 % for a 50 g sample
