Ion-ion collisions

Description

There are numerous practical applications of ion-ion collisions. However, ion-ion collisions are particularly interesting because they provide experimentalist with opportunities to study collision theory at the most fundamental level. In this chapter, reactions involving He+, H2μ (the simplest of all molecular structures and the only one for which Schroedinger's equation can be exactly solved), or H3μ (the simplest polyatomic system) are described. 54 references, 12 figures
