psipsi production by quarks, gluons and B mesons

Description
We determine, in the framework of perturbative QCD, the O(αsub(s)2)-O(αsub(s)4) parton cross sections for psipsi production by quarks, gluons and B mesons. The hadronic production characteristics are compared with recent data from π-N scattering. At present energies, psipsi production via B meson decay is negligibly small. At collider energies, B production by (anti qb) recombination constitutes, however, a considerable production mode. (orig.)
