Description
Moessbauer absorption measurements on 57Fe were carried out on Ba2Znsub(1.9)Fesub(0.1)sup(II)Fe12sup(III)O22 mostly just called Zn2-Y. Poly- and monocrystalline samples of this ferrite were used as absorbers. The temperature of the absorber was varied in the range from 4.2 to 420 K. The source was kept at room temperature except for the 4.2 K measurement, where it was put to 4.2 K also. At room temperature measurements were also made with external fields up to 1.5 T. The direction of the external fields was perpendicular to the γ-ray and in the plane of easy magnetization. A broadening of the lines in the Moessbauer spectra was observed in the whole temperature range. (Auth.)
