Off-shell BRST quantization of the bosonic string field theory

Description

The quantization of Witten's bosonic string field theory is studied by using a generalized BRST approach. We constructed an off-shell nilpotent BRST transformation by introducing a set of auxiliary fields, and found the form of the corresponding gauge-fixed action. (orig.)
