- 1. Malaysian Nuclear Agency, Bangi, Kajang, Selangor (Malaysia)
Description
Full-text: Radiotracer applications are known to assist industries for production efficiency through the identification of process malfunctions, anomalies and mechanical damage in the plant. This paper will discuss the needs of the automation system for data acquisition and analysis process to change the conventional procedure for data acquisition and analysis of radiotracer method. The first part of the software is the data acquisition, the system used Ludlum 4612 12-detector SCA (single channel analyzer) with PC control. The computer software package for control and parameter setting were provided by the manufacturer. The second part of the software is the analysis software which was done in conventional Microsoft excel for investigate the hydrodynamics or behaviour of the system. These two software parts are merged and integrated into one system called Smart Radiotracer Data Analysis (SRDA) where the real time acquisition system and analysis can both be done in one software which are faster, convenient and user friendly to reduce the complicity of the conventional method. The method and details of the SRDA development are also discussed in this paper. (author)
