Description
The various prospects of radiation treatment of liquid wastes, sewage sludge and liquid manure as well as contaminated fodders and their base materials are reviewed on the basis of microbiological researches in Hungary. The Hungarian plans for using electron accelerators are outlined. Comparative evaluations revealed identical biological radiation effects on different store insect pests by using electron beams from accelerators of gamma radiation from 60Co isotopic source. (Sz.J.)
