Physics design of the 3 MeV RFQ

  • 1. Nuclear Physics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

A 350 MHz, four vane type, continuous wave Radiofrequency Quadrupole (RFQ) has been designed which will accelerate a proton beam of 30 mA to an energy of 3 MeV. In this paper we present the status of the beam dynamics and the cavity dynamics design of the 3 MeV RFQ along with the error analysis. (author)
